How is aluminum coil made
Surface treatment: including anodizing, painting or coating, etc. Anodizing is to form a hard, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant oxide film on the surface of the aluminum coil by electrolysis, improving the weather resistance and decorative properties of the aluminum coil. Painting or coating is to apply a layer of organic coating on the surface of the aluminum coil by spraying or rolling, or to cover a layer of plastic film by hot pressing, etc., further improving the corrosion resistance and decorative properties of the aluminum coil.

The production process of aluminum coil mainly includes the following steps:
Smelting and Casting: First, high-purity aluminum ingots and alloy elements (such as magnesium, silicon, etc.) added according to product performance requirements are put into the furnace and melted at high temperature. Impurities and gases are removed by stirring and refining to obtain a melt of aluminum alloy with uniform composition and high purity. The melted aluminum alloy melt is then poured into a pre-designed mold, and solidified by natural cooling or forced cooling to obtain an aluminum alloy ingot.
Rolling: Heat the ingot to a high temperature of 350-500°C to make it in a thermoplastic state, and then roll it through a hot rolling mill to gradually thin it to the desired thickness. The hot-rolled aluminum coil is then cold-rolled and further rolled by a cold rolling mill at room temperature to accurately control the thickness, width and surface quality of the aluminum coil, and finally the thickness of the aluminum coil reaches about 0.1-3.0mm.
Heat treatment: including solid solution treatment and aging treatment. Solid solution treatment is to heat the aluminum coil to a certain temperature (such as 500-550℃) and keep it in heat for a period of time, so that the reinforced phase in the alloy is fully dissolved into the aluminum matrix, and then quickly cool it to obtain a supersaturated solid solution and increase the strength of the aluminum coil. and hardness. Aging treatment is to keep the heat in a lower temperature, so that the solute atoms in the supersaturated solid solution are gradually precipitated, forming a diffusely distributed reinforced phase, further improving the strength, hardness and wear resistance of the aluminum coil.
Slitting and packaging: According to customer needs, use a slitting machine to slide the aluminum coil according to the specified width and length to obtain aluminum coil products of different specifications. After the slit aluminum coil is inspected and packaged, it is generally wrapped with moisture-proof paper, plastic film and other materials, and then bundled with steel or plastic tape to ensure that the aluminum coil is not damaged during transportation and storage.
Characteristics and application fields of aluminum coil: Aluminum alloy coil has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature oxidation resistance, good processing performance and high recyclability. It is widely used in aerospace, automobile manufacturing, building decoration, electronics and electrical appliances, and has performed well in areas with high requirements for lightweight and strength.
